Bluebottle reviewed by Pat

Bluebottle, by Belinda Castles, is a cleverly crafted book that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat right to the end.

Jack, Louisa and Phoebe grew up living by the beach, and what should have been a free and easy childhood was tempered by the unpredictable behaviour of their father, Charlie.  Charlie’s mood changes were sudden, often dramatic, and the family were on constant alert.

Even as adults with their own children the siblings are still haunted by the man who still largely remained a mystery to them, until finally they share the secrets they have guarded for so many years.
