Cake at Midnight reviewed by Pat

I thought I wouldn’t enjoy Cake at Midnight … I thought it was going to be light and frothy and completely predictable.  I was wrong.  The characters and their interaction were real and interesting.

Friends from childhood, Gio, Dec and Zoe navigate maintaining their relationships through adulthood, the most difficult obstacle being unrequited love.

The story was well developed, and although I thought I knew how it would finish up I still turned the last few pages with great trepidation.  The book was thoroughly entertaining and I found myself needing to read just one more chapter long after what should have been lights out!
