Ann Patchett has done it again – didn’t want this book to end! The scene is set early in the book with the break-up of two marriages and subsequent interlocking of families and it was refreshing to read a book where the twists and turns left me unable to predict where the story was going.

It follows the changes in relationships, attitudes, and loyalties over a period of fifty years, which enables the reader to become totally immersed in the complexity of the blended families and evolving reaction to the triumphs and tragedies of their lives.  You won’t be disappointed!
