Into the Night, written by Sarah Bailey, follows Gemma, a detective in Melbourne as she aims to solve the murder of a homeless man, and the murder of a famous actor. Gemma is a complex lady who has left her child in her home country town to come to the bright lights. Gemma is consumed by work, and her character is one that highlights the need for women to have access to choices around parenting, careers and lifestyle. 

Into the Night is an easy to read murder mystery – as Gemma and her co-worker uncover and delve into the world of actors, jealous family members, obsessed fans and secrets and lies, the mystery takes turns and twists at many a corner.
