Hugh Riminton has lived an amazing life. After reading his book Minefields I am surprised he has survived it. His life as a foreign correspondent has taken him to places no one else would want to go. He has seen the worst and the best of humanity and what can befall it.
I learned a lot from reading this book – things that I had previously only known the ‘headlines’. It has reassured me that some journalists are not just vultures feeding on other people’s misfortunes but people who care enough to risk their lives to bring injustice to light. I would recommend this book.
