Miss Ex-Yugoslavia reviewed by Marie

This is an autobiography by Sofija Stefanovic, the daughter of a psychologist and a computer scientist, born in Barcelona. It is an account of the war in what used to be Yugoslavia and its impact on those who stayed and those who fled.

Sofija, who kept the spelling of her first name despite efforts by others to Anglicise it, has written a deeply moving and, at times, hilarious story which deserves to be read.
