Rosemary Sayer has interviewed refugees from Burma, Afghanistan and South Sudan to try and remove the fear of asylum seekers that has been instilled by politicians and the media. In conversation with each of these people of different ages, genders and backgrounds she helps to tell their stories with direct quotes from each of them.
This book should be read by all Australians, particularly those responsible for policy, or the portrayal of new arrivals to Australia in the media.
