The Homestead Girls by Fiona McArthur

The Homestead Girls

Billie Green, a city medico, moves to the country to work for the Flying Doctors to try and straighten out her teenaged daughter Mia. They move into a homestead owned by a woman who is struggling in the drought, and has opened her house to boarders.

Colleague and nurse Daphne joins them and the four women forge bonds over their work and relationships. It provides a welcome haven from the male dominated workplace of the Flying Doctors. But male attention is to be found elsewhere and provides romance and a source of conversation. But the cosy situation hits a hurdle, and they need to find a way to sort it out. A great drama set in a country town, with all the good and bad that they can bring.
