Wild Lands by Nicole Alexander

Wild Lands

Wild Lands is set in the early eighteen hundreds in Australia, centred on a young woman, Kate, who takes a job in the outback. Thrown into the deep end amongst outlaws and the battle for land between the Aboriginal people and those who are trying to claim the land to farm.

Then she meets Bronzewing who has been raised by an Aboriginal community but educated by a non-Aboriginal family. He is torn between the two, but wants to defend the rights of those who owned the land first.

She needs to find out where she belongs – back in Sydney or out here in these wild lands with all that they hold.
