Jonah, a large school music teacher grieves for the death of his wife who may have committed suicide because she could not have children. He spends all his spare time in nearby Kew Gardens which the author knows well. He becomes involved with Chloe who is an origami specialist and makes paper birds. Characters, famous in the history of the Gardens, become real. A first novel by Tor Udalt. Worth reading.
