Breathing Under Water reviewed by Wendy

This book is about twins Grace and Ben Walker who have grown up in an idyllic small coastal town with the ocean and surfing always central to their lives. Life is good. They have loving, interested parents and a good group of friends. Yes. Something big is about to happen.

Sophie Hardcastle writes beautifully, with a sound knowledge of surfing, teenagers and dealing with grief. The characters deal with their grief in different and believable ways. I felt for each one of them. We often forget how hard it really was to be a teenager. This book reminds us.
