China Baby Love reviewed by Wendy

Jane Hutcheon introduces us to the amazing Linda Shum. We see through Jane’s eyes the miracles she has wrought in an orphanage in Jiaozuo, a small city in northern China.

Linda is a retired teacher from regional Queensland, proudly Christian and devoted to improving the lives of children. While attending an Assemblies of God Conference in Caloundra she came across a pamphlet that stated ‘Chinese children are dying from a lack of mother touching ‘ and she became determined to help. She has set up COAT (Chinese Orphans Assistance Team) which has saved many small lives and made a huge difference to many more .

Although a bit too long for me, I found the book inspiring, disturbing and eye-opening. Well worth reading.
