Songs of a War Boy

This is the incredible story of a boy soldier who was a killer at the age of seven, of South Sudan which was and is besieged by tribal wars, and of an older brother who was a God like figure.

The autobiography of Deng (God of the Rain) Thiak Adut is a mesmerizing account of survival, of his time in a refugee camp, of his arrival in Australia and of his efforts to learn English. He is now a lawyer in Western Sydney who, unsurprisingly, still has nightmares.
