Storyland reviewed by Pat

Catherine McKinnon takes us on a journey through the ages in her novel Storyland and in a series of  stories connected by location we see a glimpse of our Australian history from an interesting and unique perspective.  Whilst there are things that are a constant throughout the book, and stories of times gone by that are passed on through the generations, the time spans hundreds of years and the reader witnesses the development of our civilisation and changes in attitudes and lifestyle.  All this happens beside the same lake, below the same mountains etc. and is a constant reminder that we are caretakers of our land for future generations.
