The Bone Sparrow reviewed by Wendy

This well written story transports us into the very centre of a fictitious refugee camp.

Zara Fraillon has listened to many stories and the result is this moving book.

While shocking and provoking it is also an uplifting story of the wonderful resilience of children. The friendship between Subhi and Jimmie gives us hope that the future may be a place where there is no more need for the detention centres that exist today.
