The House of Lies reviewed by Marie

This is the autobiography of Renee McBryde, daughter of a double murderer and a teenage mother. Clearly a bright child, Renee hides behind a façade of a popular school student with a working mum.

The novel includes rape and domestic violence but reveals how she forges an identity which overcomes these great obstacles.
