The River at Night reviewed by Pat

The River at Night gathers pace very quickly as a white-water rafting trip down a river for  a group of girlfriends turns into a quest for survival, and they find themselves on an adventure which instead of being a trip outside comfort zones turns into horrors beyond their wildest expectations.

Having gone on a holiday together for many years, during which their relationships and situations have changed, this life changing journey is by far the greatest test of their friendship.  The highlight of the book is the description of the river, the force, the beauty, the serenity, and the sheer terror – not many get to experience such wilderness first hand. This book is the next best thing.
