The River at Night reviewed by Wendy

Set aside some uninterrupted reading time before beginning this book – it is an unpredictable roller coaster of a read.
Win Allen is the narrator- a young woman who has been windswept into agreeing to go on a white water rafting  trip with her three best friends. She would have preferred a relaxing, easy holiday from the outset and is worried about her physical and mental stamina. She begins to relax when they meet up and even begins to feel a bit excited as they make their way to the river. Then she meets their guide- a cocky young attractive man called Rory and the roller coaster ride begins.
I found myself racing through the pages to find out what happened next – almost missing the wonderful descriptions of the river and the wilderness. Thoroughly enjoyable.
