The Riviera Express reviewed by Marie

Set in an imaginary town in Devon in the late 1950s this murder mystery made me giggle. The main character, Miss Dimont, is a reporter on a weekly newspaper, which reports on Council meetings, the AGMs of the Golf club, the attendants at the Magistrates Court and other such important events. She rides a moped called Herbert, has corkscrew hair and is something of a sleuth.

The red herrings are entertaining, if not outrageous. This novel by T P Fielden is recommended.
