Truly Madly Guilty reviewed by Pat

The fraught friendship of Clementine and Erika, two women who have known each other since school days, underpins the storyline of Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty.

The reader learns in the first few pages that there has been a dramatic incident at a barbecue, and details of this are very gradually revealed from many different perspectives. This leads to lots of soul-searching and “what ifs” from the people involved.

Despite the fact that a degree of patience was needed in the build up to the revelation of what had actually taken place that day, I did enjoy the book, its characters and its suspense.
